About Hotel Nacional de Cuba
Hotel Nacional de Cuba means pride for people from Havana and admiration from foreigners. This landmark hotel stores the still warm memories of the illustrious women and men who visited the island in the last century.
Distinction and class constitute the names of the renowned Cuban hotel, which keeps intact the residence of the Republic with the same elegance it had when being witness -and sometimes protagonist- of numerous moments, now part of Cuban history. The hotel also includes the famous Parisien Cabaret, providing one of the best show and nightclub in Havana. Every Saturday from 4pm till 8pm the vintage car and bike club, Amigos de Fangio, show-off their treasures, below the Hotel Nacional. The Grand Dame of 5* hotels in Vedado & all of Havana for that matter also. Set in an enormous park facing the sea, with outdoors swimming pool & spa, and a large outdoor bar area. <br>Very impressive palms lined drive & entrance hall, when you arrive to the hotel. Nevertheless, the hotel has seen better days as it is a bit shabby nowadays, and all the repair & maintenance are of low quality.<br>Recommended are the Executive floors 6 & 8, which are a bit more expansive but gets a VIP service, antique decor rooms, WIFI, spacial breakfast and an exclusive reception on the 6th floor. Well worth the extra pennies.<br>However, all the hotel food outlets are very bad quality & high price, better go outside to eat.<br>

Infront of the Hotel Nacional is La Piragua, "The Dugout", where each Saturday afternoon various car and motorcycle club piston heads show-off their gleaming chrome classics.
On La Rampa itself you will find the Cubana (airline) main office, many shops, markets, hotels, restaurants and nightclubs.
Directly east on Calle San Miguel between calles Ronda and Mazon is the fine Museo Napoleonico, this mansion is house of a remarkable collection of Napoleonic memorabilia.
Other notable sights are the Copelia, Hotel Habana Libre
