The Villa Cayo Levisa Hotel is visited by a 40 min boat ride from the north coast of Pinar del Rio and is a real natural paradise, offering an unspoiled environment. Its 3km beach surrounded by virgin tropical vegetation, white, powdery sand and quiet and beautiful blue water make this hotel an ideal option for those looking for simple, quite holidays.
Cayo Levisa is a very simple, 3 star hotel that consists of 33 bungalows built with local materials and positioned right on the beach; sharing the surroundings with only a few other people the atmosphere is, to say the least, peaceful.
Facilities of the hotel include a bar, restaurant, shops, car rental office and some others. Here you will also find beautiful sites for diving and snorkelling, otherwise there really isn't much to do apart from kick off your shoes, read a book, sip mojitos and swim in the sea!
Designed to blend naturally with the tropical environment, the tropical rooms at Cayo Levisa are basic wooden cabins with air conditioning, satellite TV & a safe. All are ensuite with verandahs from where you can enjoy stunning ocean views & some have hammocks. These have the best views & consist of 2 set of rooms with separate entrance (not connected).
About 20 kilometres from the Vinales Valley, off the northwest coast of Cuba, lies a cluster of tiny islands enveloped by thick jungles of tropical mangrove and bordered by fabulous white beaches. The most idyllic amongst these is Cayo Levisa.
This small coral key off the north side of Pinar del Rio is part of the Archipielago de los Colorados, which sits in the Gulf of Mexico. It's known for its white coral beaches, thick mangroves, abundant seabirds, and seas rich in red snapper, sea bass, lobster, marlin, and other species.
From the early 1940s, American author Ernest Hemingway had a fishing camp on Cayo Paraiso, a smaller coral island 10km east. Recently an exclusive tourist resort has been built on Cayo Levisa. There are 23 diving points on the island shelf, which has numerous coral formations, an ideal location for snorkelling.
